How long should I wait in between appointments?

If you are wondering how long you need to wait between your lash and brow treatments, this guide is for you.

Lash Lift: 4 to 8 weeks

The wait between lash lift appointments depends on your natural lashes, your lash cycle and the type of lash lift you get. Six weeks is the most common time between appointments.

Short Lashes

If you have shorter lashes your lash cycle may be faster and in this case you will find your lift will have grown out at around 4 weeks.

Longer Lashes

If you have longer lashes or are using a lash serum, you may find your lash cycle is long, if this is the case you may not need your next lash lift for another 7 to 8 weeks.

Lash Lift Systems

If you are using a thioglycolate system (a lash lift that uses a perming system like Elleebana One Shot). You will need to wait for it to completely grow out before getting another lash lift. If you are using a cysteamine system (a lash lift that uses a synthetic keratin system like Elleebana Profusion) you could get your next lash lift sooner because it doesn’t break down the hair.

Brow Lamination: 4 weeks

A brow lamination will last until it grows out. It can be done every 4 weeks. You should only be using a cysteamine system on brows which keep them soft and nourished for the entire life of the treatment.

Lash Extensions: 2 to 4 weeks

The amount of time between lash infills will depend on the length of your natural lashes, the type of extensions you get, the colour of your natural lashes and your comfort level with how long you can leave them before getting them infilled.

If you have short lashes your lash cycle will be much faster and an infill every 2 weeks is advised.

If you are getting lash extensions that look very similar to your natural lashes, for instance, you may be getting lash extensions that are a similar length to your natural lashes or your natural lashes may be dark brown or black, then you could push out your infill to closer to 4 weeks if this was preferable for you.

If you have light coloured lashes, it will look more noticeable sooner when you need infills.

If you are getting volume lashes you may find these last longer and you will need infills less frequently.

Brow Tint: 2 weeks

A brow tint will fade within 2 weeks. If you are after a permanent dye which will not fade, get a Henna or Hybrid Dye. This will not fade but grow out.

Brow Shape: 2 to 4 weeks

This depends on the thickness, darkness of the hair and hair cycle. If you are seeing regrowth at 2 weeks a step away from the mirror (the distance others stand from you when you talk), it’s time. Over time your brows will grow back less and this can be stretched out to 4 weeks.

Facial Threading or Waxing: 3 to 6 weeks

I recommend starting at every three weeks to reduce the discomfort of the treatment and eventually the hair growth. If the hair removal can occur before the hairs are in their final stage of growth, many will stop growing back. When this occurs and we can stretch out follow ups further and further apart.

Henna Brows and Hybrids Dyes: 1, 2 & 4 weeks

Henna Brow Dyes and Hybrid Dyes are permanent and will dye the brows until it grows out. The skin stain lasts for approximately 7 days. The threading or waxing 2 weeks and the hair dye until it grows out.
